Thor Baum

Principal / Owner

Inspired by the creation of beautiful, functional spaces, Thor Baum began Thor Construction with a drill, a circular saw, and a vision to build a respected custom construction business that would reflect the building quality he believed everyone deserved. For over 15 years, Thor has been steadily honing his craft, building his team and expanding his portfolio, in order to provide his clients with the highest level of design and building expertise in the area. 


Thor has completed hundreds of custom built projects across the Lower Cape and beyond. His projects, ranging from renovations to ground-up full-builds reflect an identifiable quality and unique features that have built his reputation in the area.


Thor lives in Wellfleet with his wife, Myya, daughter Ella and son Beckett. When he isn’t in the office or visiting job sites around town, you’ll find him out on his boat in Wellfleet Harbor enjoying everything this beautiful slice of coastal New England has to offer.

Lance LaLone

VICE PRESIDENT

With a 37 year tenure in custom building and real estate management, Lance has spent his entire career building. From brownstones, restaurants, galleries and luxury apartments in New York City, to custom country homes in Westchester County, NY, Lance’s exceptional work portfolio has spanned from the city to the country, and most recently, to the coastal community of the Lower Cape. 


After owning his own Design & Build firm for 28 years, and expanding his expertise working for other reputable firms on Cape Cod, Lance partnered with Thor Construction in 2020. He has brought a wealth of knowledge and expansive custom building experience to the team.


Lance’s passion for building is apparent the moment you begin your initial plans together. Having completed hundreds of custom projects throughout the years, Lance is the guy to have in your corner, tirelessly working behind the scenes to ensure your projects stay on course. He will consult with you on every detail from your initial plans, through construction to completion. 


Together, with his wife Amy, Lance has made his home in Wellfleet. He looks forward to building relationships that leave a lasting impact on the clients of Thor Construction and the Lower Cape community as a whole.
